US soccer neads help. From Todd

Coach Gianni

I agree completely that US soccer needs help and the notion of each club supporting farm teams is not unprecedented in American sports. There's plenty of room for both a college and a professional club route. It'd be interesting to run the experiment and see who produces the best players. It'd be nice to call that option what it really is. If the college coaches love the game so much they could just as easily coach in the alternate system. I suspect they enjoy the lack of accountability they enjoy at the collegiate level. This would not be the same in the "farm" clubs.

Additionally young people need more options outside of the university system in general. They offer fewer skills these days at a higher price.
